Save the Human!

It's finally starting to feel like Spring in Providence, and Earth Day is right around the corner. In addition to all of the animals we can save by choosing to eat a meatless diet, don't forget that vegetarian or vegan eating is in the best interest of everyone on this planet - - and that means humans, too!

We'd like to announce dates for two great events coming up in March:

Earthlings film screening

Earthlings is an award-winning documentary about mankind's dependence on animals for pets, food, clothing, entertainment and scientific research. Narrated by Joaquin Phoenix, it is one of the most powerful and informative films about animals. Please encourage friends to come see Earthlings!

Meatout Vegetarian Potluck

Meatout is a worldwide annual event celebrating vegetarian eating, and BARC will be representing Rhode Island with a vegetarian/vegan potluck for the second year in a row. We'd love for you to bring a dish to share, but we emphasize that everyone is more than welcome to join us regardless of whether you are able to bring anything.
